Filter attributes: stay in the results when shoppers use filters
Shoppers on Ozon often search with filters: long sleeve, V-neck, zip, midi… If that field is empty on your card, the product drops out of the filtered results. Commbot fills these fields from the brand's own product name and description, and never writes a feature the source does not clearly state.
When a shopper picks the "long sleeve" or "zip" filter on Ozon, cards with that field empty drop out of the list — even if the product is exactly what they want. On manually created cards these fields usually stay empty, because every product has dozens of them. Commbot reads this information from the product name and description on the brand's own page and writes it into the card's filter fields.
How it works
- The source is read: the brand's product name, description and fabric details are scanned for sleeve type, neckline and collar, fastening (zip, buttons, snaps, magnet…), fit, skirt and dress length, style, bag type and dimensions, heel height, decorative details and color name. A zip on a pocket does not count as a fastening.
- Only clear statements are written: a value is written only if the source states it plainly; if the name mentions two different values (for example both midi and maxi), the field stays empty.
- An exact match in Ozon's own list: every value is written only if it has an exact match in Ozon's list for that product type; it is never shifted to a similar-looking value.
- Material and composition from the brand (since September 15): outer fabric and lining are read separately; if a word cannot be resolved or the percentages do not add up to 100, nothing is written for that part. Material that contradicts the brand's label is corrected to match it, and information from other sellers' similar listings is never used.
- Pattern from the photo (since September 25): patterns such as stripes, florals, checks and polka dots are recognized from the product photo by AI and written only when recognized with the highest confidence; if the product name says otherwise, nothing is written. When the brand's color name has no match in Ozon's color list, the background color from the photo is used — again only with full confidence.
- Completed every day (since October 4): empty fields are filled daily, and filled filter fields are never touched. Since October 18 this runs in every store with full automation, including products you add by hand or by link.
What it affects
- Ozon filters: when shoppers pick a filter such as "long sleeve", "V-neck", "zip" or "midi", your card stays in the results.
- Product page: the characteristics section shows fabric, lining, fastening and fit, so shoppers find what they need on the card.
- Content rating: how complete the attribute fields are is part of Ozon's content rating.
- New cards: fields derived from the product name and fabric are written when the card is created; those from the description are added in the daily run.
Tips for better results
- Choose brands with detailed product information: the richer the description, the more filter fields get filled.
- If you change a filter field (such as fit or style) by hand on Ozon, Commbot will not overwrite it.
- Patterns are written only when recognized with full confidence, so this field may stay empty on some products. That is on purpose: no wrong information gets onto the card.
